TradeHub is a virtual stock trading platform. Users trade stocks with virtual funds, track portfolio performance, and compete on leaderboards. Not connected to real exchanges: this is a simulation platform for trading education, contests, or gamified investing.
**Admin side:**
- Dashboard: total users, total trades today, total volume, active contests, revenue
- Stock Manager: add stocks manually or import from CSV; set price, symbol, company name, sector, market cap; update prices manually or via scheduled API fetch
- User Manager: view all traders, their portfolio value, trade count, P&L, account status
- Order Manager: view all pending and completed orders, cancel stuck orders
- Contest Manager: create trading contests with entry fee, prize pool, start/end dates, eligible stocks; leaderboard auto-updates
- Fee Settings: set trading fees (per trade or percentage), withdrawal fees, deposit bonuses
- Payment Gateways: enable gateways for deposits and withdrawals
- Reports: daily trading volume, most traded stocks, user growth, contest revenue
- Settings: market open/close hours, price update schedule, email/SMS
**Trader/user side:**
- Dashboard: portfolio value, today's P&L, total P&L, buying power, open positions
- Market: browse stocks by sector, see price, change (24h), volume, add to watchlist
- Stock Detail: price chart (line/candlestick), company info, buy/sell panel, order book, recent trades
- Trade: market order (buy/sell at current price), limit order (buy/sell at target price), set quantity
- Portfolio: list of holdings with current value, P&L per stock, allocation chart
- Order History: all orders with status (filled, pending, cancelled), filter by date and type
- Watchlist: save stocks to track, see price changes at a glance
- Leaderboard: contest rankings by ROI, filter by contest, see your rank
- Contests: browse active contests, see rules and prize pool, enter contest
- Deposit/Withdraw: add virtual funds via gateways, withdraw profits

**Technical notes:** Stock prices can be updated manually in admin, or you can set up a cron job that fetches real-time prices from an API (Alpha Vantage, Yahoo Finance, or any REST API). The system stores price history for charting. WebSocket (Pusher or self-hosted) enables real-time price updates on the trading page.
